The Vale Project:
An Overview
The Vale Project is a multi-faceted effort to facilitate genuine Qualitative changes to a community that has been overlooked and underserved for far too long. The neighborhood that we are serving lies between Nott Terrace and Mc Clellan Avenue and from State Street to Eastern Parkway. The team serving this community are not the change agents; we are resources to the Vale neighborhood to help them promote their own transformation. The following initiative encompassthe Vale Project.
- A house church network within these forty streets to be led by trained and commited volunteers from the community.
- A twenty week curricular program to train leaders. (This portion is a doctoral research project through Regent University) those trained will administer the following initiative,
- The trained community leaders will administer a separate 501c3 community organizing endeavor that will identify solutions and opportunities that are deficient and institute programs that mitigate these conditions.
- Establishment of a for-profit resaurant in the area as a "missional shared space" This is a concept that provides employment and social opportunities. There is an open connected "shared space" for those people who are uncomfortable or unfamiliar with Church, but would like a safe place to relax and be heard.
- The goal of these efforts working in partnership is to have a synergistic, transfomational outcome upon the quality of life within these forty streets.
